We knew Mike as a child at CBC in Hawthorne. It has been many years since we last saw Mike. He was working on a car with his dad in the front yard. After listening to the testimonies last night, we feel like we have missed out on knowing this amazing man. May God be close to you all during this grieving process.

My heart was so saddened to hear of the loss of Mike. He was a wonderful person. A person who was doing God's work. He had so many wonderful qualities. He had patience, understanding, kindness and a wonderful way of communicationg with others, both young and old. He was always supportive of the work I was doing. He would uplift me when I would have a stressful day. He would give me words of encouragement. Always saying hello to me at the front gate in the mornings. He'd ask, "What kind of day will it be?" Mike was probably in elementary school when Brad first started attending CBC. It has only been the last 8+ years, since moving to NJ, that we have "lost touch" with him. How tickled we were to recieve a Christmas card a few years ago, and find out that he and Amy (who'd babysat NUMEROUS times for us!) had been married. What an encouragement to see how sold out for God they have been. May this earthly tragedy be turned into heavenly triumph.

Mary and I were greatly saddened to hear of the sudden homegoing of Brother Mike. We hold many fond memories of Mike and Amy. I really got to know them well when I had the honor of doing pre-marriage counseling with them. What a joy it was to spend that time with those two young people as they prepared to join together in marriage. I believe that they were the most God centered, dedicated young couple that I had counseled with in many years of ministry.
Like all of you we haved searched to make since of this and can only conclude that our God is good and great and knows best. I am reminded that God said, "that His ways are not our ways and our ways are not His ways." Surely God was very pleased with Bro. Mike to take him home at such an early age and there is a great purpose and mission left here on earth for Amy.
